Welcome to all! I'm looking forward to the semester ahead and hope you are excited to delve into the many interesting topics covered in PSY 102.

We start with Lifespan Development, move right into Gender and Sexuality and then delve, just a tad, into your own personality traits. Next topic is social psychology, language and intelligence (what exactly does it mean when we say someone is smart?) and then ponder a bit about psychological disorders and, of course, therapies to help with psychological disorders. All that's left then is the final - WHEW!

In one of your last assignments, "Making Psychology Part of Your Life", I ask you to think about your learning over the course of the semester. A couple of questions you will respond to ask: "How can the study of psychology improve your life?" and "Can you really change your life?" I'd like you to start pondering & reflecting about these questions now so you can be prepared to answer these questions.
