How this training will unfold and how you can succeed

Here's how this training will unfold. This is a self-paced training offered via this Canvas course and the VoiceThread website. You'll have nearly all semester to complete it. You will review learning materials in the Modules here in our Canvas course and then complete a task—typically the hands-on part is done at the VoiceThread website. Occasionally you might also be asked to share your creations here in our Canvas course. We won't rendezvous at any given time online during this training, by the way.  The list of tasks you will work through to complete this training is listed right here in our Syllabus.

This training is divided into four parts, to address different aspects of VoiceThread.

Your overall goal is to master the basics of VoiceThread and demonstrate your mastery, so it's OK if you do not complete every task. Just keep me informed if you start to fall behind, struggle, or have any questions. To pass this training, participants need to earn 300 out of 400 possible points or 75%. Need help or have questions about this course? Use the Canvas Inbox (top right corner of your screen) to contact me (Gabrielle Orsi), or you're welcome to give me a call if you would like me to walk through any of the tasks with you over the phone: 970-947-8359. Or you can reach me via email at gorsi@coloradomtn.edu.

Finally, please do not include any sensitive information or FERPA-related information in your VoiceThread slideshows or comments, thanks! And let's keep this training a collegial and welcoming experience, so please be sure that your VoiceThreads and your comments on VoiceThreads do not contain content that others might find offensive. OK, let's continue!
